I am not a man who lives merely day-to-day

Eighteen months ago my urologist told me "you have 18-24 months to live".  That day resounds in my memory, thus starting a dramatic lifestyle change that has affected my body, soul and spirit. 

On that day (July 6, 2009), I remember thinking I WILL be here enjoying my family during the holiday season of 2010!

Several resaons led me to this proclamation:  one is that I promised my son Andrew when he left to work in Korea, that I indeed would be here and well upon his return to Gig Harbor.  
Another reason is that my oldest son, Eric would be on leave from the military during this season.

Needless to say, God above has seen fit to have me remain on this earth, and I might add, in better health than I have experienced in months!  Our Christmas/New Year season was one of the best ever!

I assure you that I am not a man who lives merely day-to-day; but I  set short term,mid term and long term goals help me to remain focused and faithful during times of trial.  

My life has changed, yet remains with purpose.  I thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this season, and my prayer for you is that you may be blessed in all ways, as I am blessed!

    Awsome, and this is inspirational, from both. It is unreal how cancer can strike a family. It has struck my family about 20 years ago, and it not only struck my uncle, but it also may have struck my mom. As of right now, there is a bit of a mass in the upper part of her lung. I will be taking her to Salt Lake, Utah, to LDS Hospital to have certian things done, etc. She has suffered from emphysema for over 10 years. There are alot of things, that could be going on, but my 3 sibilings and I are remaining very optimistic. Blogs like this, it does help me out in the long run. Gives me more faith of what is going on, and things will be alright.
